Nipuna is an Old Boy of C.W.W. Kannangara College and a former serviceman of the Sri Lanka Navy. A passionate player during his school and club days, he now continues to serve the sport as a dedicated rugby referee.
With over 9 years of refereeing experience, Nipuna is recognized as one of the most promising referees within the Sri Lanka Society of Rugby Football Referees (SLSRFR). His appointment to this prestigious international tournament is a testament to his commitment, skill, and contribution to rugby.
